Why it exists
Bliss Construction AK is a general contractor and overhead door company in Fairbanks. Like most small contractors it runs on a scheduling app for the crew, an accounting program for the books, a separate payroll service, spreadsheets for bids and job costing, and a phone full of photos. Every job is entered more than once, the crew never sees the checklist the office wanted done, and the owner finds out about problems at month end.
Foreman is the one program meant to replace that. The crew's day lives on the phone: the schedule, the job, the checklist that has to be finished before the job can be, the time clock, the truck and the equipment on it. The owner's money lives in Foreman HQ: quotes and invoices under the same job number, the bank feeds, payroll through a licensed partner, job costing and the calendar of everything the company has to file. Claude sits between them and does the paperwork a small company never gets to: the morning brief, the call notes, the receipts, the weekly reconcile.
How it is being built
The apps are being built and tested on a working crew before they are sold to anyone. Bliss Construction AK runs its own schedule, payroll and books on Foreman for about a year, through a full tax year, on Apple's TestFlight. A second contractor outside Alaska runs it after that. Only then does it go to the App Store, in 2028, sold to businesses by subscription.
Three rules hold throughout. Money moves only through a payments or payroll partner and only after a person approves it; Claude drafts and reminds but never approves, files or pays. The field app never shows a price. And nothing sensitive is stored in the apps: card numbers are kept to the last four digits, bank feeds are read-only, and Social Security and account numbers stay with the partners that need them.
